FPSE does PlayStation

PPSSPP does PSP.

All of these are solid, reliable and accurate emulators. Of course using a touchscreen simulated control pad isn't much fun but for slow games like RPGs it's fine. I really really enjoyed Final Fantasy Tactics while using on-screen d-pad, for example.

Solution is a cheap USB controller and an even cheaper USB to micro USB adapter. There are Bluetooth controllers too, but USB is a bit better, I think.

If you don't have access to physical buttons, then playing anything but a turn-based rpg is a waste of time and an exercise in frustration.

Durrrrr, ITT people advocate buying a whole new piece of hardware. Android emulation is great. Only real issue is that Retroarch has the only good NES emulators.


Mupen and stuff like that? Use the nightly builds, not the store version.

Literally what the app is called. Atari games are shit and computationally simple, so you can't really fuck such an emulator up.

I've had hit or miss results, but managed to play through Alone in the Dark with it. Other games have less-good results. Namely, Darklands suffers from such a bad performance drop that it takes over an hour to get to the title screen, and Fallout won't even make it to the title screen.

Download a nightly build of Mupen64. The nightly builds, when they work, at waaaaay better, near perfect on some games.

PPSSPP is fucking tits. It runs like a champ, and it seemingly runs everything. Probably the single best emulator on the platform. I have only seen it crash once. Has fast forward.


GB.Emu, which is about 90% stable, but that last 10% is a real bitch when you forget to save state. Has fast forward.

ePSXe works with everything.

SNES9X is great too.

Retroarch for NES, on a game by game basis. Store NES emulators suck.

gGens works, but only about 80%. kinda like on PC.
