Strangely, out of all my ps1 games the one I played the most was Vigilante 8. It has incredible replay value of you like blowing things up. I was continuing to play this long after I had finished with resident evil, silent hill, crash bandicoot and all the other recommended games.

Once you get the hang of it (just turn off the auto lock, and learn to dodge before attacking), you'll realize it's a very underrated game. Proto Devil May Cry in a way, with excellent atmosphere and VA.
