RKA has too many boring easy jetpack levels, so I prefer the SNES game. Graphically, musically, and level-wise, you can't beat that installment.

Also why did they fuck up the controls so bad in the Genesis sequel?

Because Genesis' RKA2 was just designed by a character artist from the first game, while the SNES game had the mighty Ueda (Castlevania X68000, Axelay) direct it.
