Rayman 2 is on PS1, PS2, N64, DC, PC, DS, 3DS, and iOS. There is also a GBC Rayman 2 but that's not the same game.

Pretty much any popular arcade game from the 80's got ported all over the place. Somewhat extended into the early 90's as well. NBA Jam got ported everywhere, Rampart got ported everywhere, etc.

FUCKING WHY

at least its a pretty enjoyable game
More than 20 versions.
a lot of late/mid 80s games were on like 10 - 12 systems, rampage is an example
The original Prince of Persia has racked up like 20 ports or so over the years (more than 30 counting unofficial ones)
Most of them removed the obvious aryan supremacist overtones of the original tho
Doom wins.

2001. Dreamcast confirmed dead to publishers, meanwhile GBC is still worth bothering with.

Made me remember Rayman 1:
Android
Atari Jaguar
DSiWare
Game Boy Advance
Game Boy Color
iOS
MS-DOS
PlayStation
Sega Saturn
Will play the first 3 again.
Ys 1 was released on pretty much every PC known to Japan, as well as a bunch of consoles.
Elite, Myst, Sim City Classic, Hard Drivin/Race Drivin.
Dragon's Lair is an interesting one. Everything with a CD player has it, everything that doesn't has the platformer of the same name. Or whatever the hell this is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXWsyXRMCQI
They finally got their shit together, as with SF2 super-turbo.

You should have restricted it to official ports, else nothing stands a chance against Doom, except maybe Quake
Also there was that one pic with all versions of Harry Potter game

Yeah, I think games that had their source released are automatically disqualified.
They're not games that *were ported* particular times. They're games that people have been *porting* for certain durations, which very likely has resulted in more refined ports, but they don't have the case closed on them, and the porting efforts are hardly separate, and they're not even restricted to one port per system!
All around solid - except the music. You know, that seems interesting to try and fix! I wonder how tricky that would be?
HHEYYYY, there's a Japanese version that was released over a year later, I wonder if it has any refinements!?!
>>3442241
Rubbish, it's a dull platformer with major physics problemsI still completed it like three times
SMB1 - SMB3 have been ported to bits and back.
