Gal here.
Just chillin' playing some translated Super Robot Wars for Super Famicom while my cat tries to destroy my bookshelf.

Mexibro here. I'm playing my original 1997 copy of tetris blast (I've had it for about 19 years now) on an SP I just bought.
I'm amazed that the cartridge still works perfectly.
Burgerman here. I'm playing Outrun 3d during breaks while animating something.
Frontier: Elite II on Amiga. Greatest game of all time.

I love this game
>>3432076
DKC2. Fucking love this game.
Just played Armored Warriors for the first time. HOLY FUCK THIS IS POSSIBLY THE GREATEST BEAT'EM UP EVER! You can change your left arm(secondary weapon), right arm(main weapon), and your chassis. So you start by walking, but you can upgrade to tank treads, spider legs, or hoverjets. It's like fucking Armored Core arcade style. I know Aliens VS Predator gets a lot of love, but this is way better.

Dreamcast session because it's mybirthday
After watching some videos about it, i am giving Kid Icarus a shot on the website emulator on emuparadise. Never heard of this game until recently.
I like it. I look forward to playing it on my TV when I get my NES classic this november.
>inb4 durr just emulate it to your tv
>>3432305
Happy birthday anon

For a moment I thought this was some fanmade art of Zeal from Chrono Trigger.

Had a couple of friends over a few hours ago randomly, IE they just showed up. Shoved N64 controllers in their hands and put in Battletanx, holy fuck we had a blast.
>>3432076
Im playing yokai dochuuki, its hard but i like it a lot.
I was inspired by the roguelike thread (>>3428158) to play some Rogue. Good old-fashioned frustrating fun. And as an RPG-loving gal, I find it interesting to look at the roots of the genre.
>>3432367
You stop that.
>>3432394
I've been challenging myself with TGM2 lately. As an amorphous blob monster that enjoys games that encourage mastery, it really tickles my fancy. Or at least the blob monster equivalent of a fancy.

so much autism, white knighting, and weebooism in one thread.
>>3432439
You know, this is why I normally don't identify myself, since my being a blob monster isn't relevant to the conversation.
As for the picture, is that you? If so, I've seen your type in my normal stomping grounds around Tantegel Castle. You weirdos are always shaking me down for cash, so you can buy clothes and clubs and whatnot.

thanks anon :)
>>3432101
it's so good.
I'm playing Chrono Trigger

You mean Wings for the Amiga.
I have been playing Revenge of Shinobi but I want to switch it up but I can't decide what else to try for the system.
Playing Kirby's Adventure while trying to ignore the unsightly line that has developed on my tv. I'm very mad about it, especially since now I have to decide if I want to get my stereo recapped now or put it off and replace the tv.
>>3432076
playing some original Ninja Gaiden on NES
>>3432460
You're an awesome blob and I like you.

Emulating Mario Lost Levels
Shit man been finally working on finishing Morrowind but not retro. (Basically the only vr shit I've been messing with recently is arcade-ish stuff like Smash TV and other not too deep stuff for funsies.)
>>3432223
Same. I'm on my second play through and going for 100% on every level.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDMCcbn1CKg
Playing some arcade games. Never heard of Arabian Fight until recently and it's pretty fun.
Was Playing Princess Crown, but kept gettin my ass kicked.
So swicthed to St Fighter Zero 2 and kicked some arse. And then got an arse kicking from Ryu on the last stage.
but I loved it
playing Master of Magic for DOS. blue magic > *
Loaded up UQM last night.I'm gonna save the galaxy!
Just beat Breath of Fire I, want to play II now, but i'm still deciding between playing the on my ps2 with my SNES emulator or download a fanpatched version and emulate here on my computer.
Playing here won't be as comfy as playing in a console, but a lot of people say that playing a fan-translated-patched version is 10000 times better than the original US release.
playin' some UFO: Enemy Unknown while watching an old Australian christmas movie for some reason
thinking about moving there
>>3432394
if you tell me you're mtf I might just go cry you know
The New Tetris

Rainforest monkey here. Playing Super Metroid randomized and I can't for the love of Hanuman find the Gravity Suit.
Just finished the new Star Ocean, craving for more so I'll probably start the first one. (Already finished 2 when it came out.)
>>3432076
Starting Rampart for SNES.
(10 seconds later)
Finishing Rampart for SNES.
Damn, I was just getting into that. Do the other versions have a less perfunctory single player mode?
Just discovered it recently. I enjopy this a LOT.
Earthworm Jim on Sega CD. Stuck on the Hell level.
Also going to play Sin and Punishment, don't know how but I managed to beat that robotic lady early on by accident
Playing some Ecco: Tides Of Time
Finally got past the Tubes of Medusa after so long
>>3432487
Enjoy bro, although you better be playing the JAP/EURO ver. American music is garbage.
As for me, if I do end up playing something probably American McGee's Alice. That from 2000 so it's retro right? Always saw it in stores as a kid and was interested. It's okay I guess.
>>3442138
>That from 2000 so it's retro right?
Read the rules.
Although if you're running the game on a pre-2000 machine, it's fine.
>>3432076
When ill get home ill be playing Dead or Alive on saturn.
>>3432076
Emulating Blazing Star.
The scoring system makes no sense and it doesn't work as people describe it for both the home and arcade version no matter the region.
There is no purpose to chain blue gems and powerups for multiplier unless you want high score, there are no extra lives for x amounts of points or anything.
Also the difficulty does not ramp up if you chain items or collect LUCKY panels.
No matter what items I do/dont collect in the game over screen always shows level 95/225.
The stages are all over the place in terms of difficulty,I can play on godly the first 3 stages no sweat but it takes a sharp turn after that.
I am pretty much annoyed at this point since this seems like somebody trolled a lot of people on neo geo forums and took the rules for scoring out of his ass.
>>3432076
Dragon Quest IV [DS] and Pokémon White.
What is a castlevania game for me to play? I played sotn a few months ago and liked it, but otherwise have no experience
Do you stream your retro game playing, /vr/? If so, what's your channel?
Been on a Shadowrun kick lately, so playing the SNES version of that. Very possible once I finish this runthrough I'll start in on Shadowrun: Dragonfall, since I haven't played that yet (even if it's not /vr/)
>>3445482
dragonfall kind of sucks
>>3445538
I liked it, though I've never played the old shadowrun
>>3442331
Rondo of Blood is the game that immediately precedes it, play that.
>>3445482
Have you played the Genesis one yet? I'd play that first after you play the SNES one.
