Any oldschool Total War fans on /vr/? Are there any retro games similar to the style of play where you have a Risk style campaign map and a battle map? Turn based would work too. I know about Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen but I'm hoping for something with campaign map management.
I love this series but unfortunately none of it is /vr/, the first shogun game came out in 2000.

I think he's asking about retro games that are like the older Total War games. We all know Total War itself is not retro. That wasn't his point.

I really liked Edward Grabowski's The Blue & the Gray when I was a small child. It has turn-based campaign map and real-time battles. I haven't played it in over 20 years, and unfortunately most reviews I read now are very unfavorable to it.
