Doom? Honestly, it's drop n go. Duke Nukem too. Quake. Literally almost any FPS of that era.
I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as DOS, is in fact, IBM/DOS, or as I've recently taken to calling it, IBM plus DOS. DOS is not an gaming platform unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning IBM system made useful by x86 processor, memory management and vital system hardware comprising a full gaming platform as defined by Wintel.
Many computer users played on a compatible version of the IBM system in the past, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of IBM which was widely used today is often called DOS, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the IBM PC compatible, developed by IBM Corporation.
There really is a DOS, and these people were using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. DOS is the operating system: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The operating system is an essential part of an gaming system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete gaming system. DOS is normally used in combination with the IBM gaming system: the whole system is basically IBM with DOS added, or IBM/DOS. All the so-called DOS PCs are really compatibles of IBM/DOS!
