Micro Machines V4 is basically the most recent overhead racing game with an abundant amount of cars and polished GFX and gameplay.

I had the PSP version back in 2006, it was a really good game. Features a lot of different tracks and vehicles you unlock over time w/ different stats, lots of different car variations.

Everything else in recent years honestly just feels like poo to me.

There's Biker Mice From Mars for the SNES but even if it plays fine, it still can't compare to the brilliance that is RC Pro Am.

pic is a mix of rpg and racing, you can tune the cars and stuff like that. there's no english translation, though.

That is a good game but it has passwords, ability to repeat levels, a shop etc

I respect the fact that in RC Pro Am you just pick up the controller and go, and if you suck you lose

Radikal Bikers on the GBC. But it's a check point racer. But it's great. Best music on GBC.
