Eh.
The new running, weapon and upgradable special moves mechanics are great, but the level themes and enemy types are less varied, the occasional level gimmicks get old quite fast and, though I do remember enjoying the music, I'm told it's an adquired taste. Also, Dr. Zan is OK but he's not nearly as fun to play as Max.
Overall, I find SoR3 way less enjoyable on replay than SoR2 -specially in co-op mode for some reason- and I think the latter is the superior game. [controversial genre denomination] are not like competitive fighting games: the level/character/scenario/flow design does matter nearly as much as the general gameplay.
