The remake improves level design in some areas, adds more secrets, adds more bosses, adds a final form that makes the Dracula fight actually challenging, and also lets you play the original game.

The original is still the best though, but the remake is pretty amazing.

While we're on the subject of Castlevania: is Castlevania Bloodlines worth getting a Genesis for if I already have all the Steam Genesis classics? Or should I just emulate it?
