It basically uses steam as a front end for your emulators. It places your retro games in your steam library, downloads the cover art. When you click a game it runs the game in the emulator you have set. And it supports pretty much any console and emulator.

Mame keeps track of how much time i have played
if i run it through this, will track of time be kept?
I'm asking because when i tried Anarchy Arcade it didn't.

Nope. Steam only tracks times for Steam games.

As in your emulator keeping track of the time? It does because its basically just a shortcut to the emulator.

If you have a spare computer or something similar, what you could do is set this all up with retroarch, then replace the shell with big picture mode.
