Does anyone know how to unlock the framerate for the Windows version? Or are things generally meant to be clunky during intense dogfights?

Are you playing through Dosbox? Shit does laggy when there's a massive space battle going on. Engine development wasn't too great in the mid 90s. We took what we got and didn't complain.

Did you even read OP?
Nevermind, I fixed it by removing the ddraw.dll file I had added prior to get the game to run in the first place.

How does that work?
And does this work on other games?
My copy of Crimson Skies seems to br locked at 12 fps, even with csfix.

Obviously I torrented mine so it wouldn't work on W10 at first, so I downloaded a fix from here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/355250/discussions/0/620712999979153740/ (solution 3: WineD3D)
Ran the game once, quit, deleted ddraw, and it now runs with no FPS cap.
Never heard or played Crimson Skies so I wouldn't know what to do there.
