Yeah, it has one straight translation, and also a full ROM hack that changes the sprites to be more 'accurate' and makes the game less grindy. The original looks better than the ROM hack imo, but it's kind of unplayable due to the INSANE encounter rate.

I had pic related as a kid. It was actually a hack of Kero Kero Keroppi no Daibouken 2 with a green Clefairy as the playable character. Also had Wacky Races with a horribly mangled Squirtle instead of Muttley. Those were the days.

Oh man, bootleg pokemon famicom hacks are great. I have pic related which has the game >>3374812 posted as well as the wacky races with squirtle (or blastoise? Blastoise is on the title screen but the sprite looks more like a demented blue teddy bear more than it does squirtle or blastoise). The pokemon red on here is mitsume ga tooru with a charmeleon, and the silver is little nemo with a sandshrew of all things.
