Thracia 776 is the best Fire Emblem game, however it is not recommended to play it until you've played several other FE games. The GBA games are not retro but are good places to start. You're better off asking /v/.

I was really surprised at how big the maps were. Even the prologue was pretty big (for a prologue). I'd only played the ones from the GBA era onward, so playing that one after was surprising.

I also prefer the other GBA Fire Emblem but what exactly is wrong with Sacred Stones? Is it the fact that the high quantity of monster enemies make the weapon triangle pointless?
