I can't even emulate MGS1 or Megaman Legends on my computer because the emulator doesn't support them. (PSX-R)

IIRC only the MGS and Tekken 3 ports use the 'final' code of the emulator, all the other shit you see is using a cracked beta that can barely do anything. If you want to play either of those games it's fine, though.

I'm on a mac laptop. PCSX-R is the only emulator that runs on mac. There's a ePSXe port for mac, but no frontend and it crashes instantly.

I have mednafen on my windows computer but that's at home and I'm at college.

For all we know it's only coded specifically for those games, even though the Dreamcast has the right horse power to provide some basic emulation. Else why would it only work with those games? So they could earn more money? Come on.

The game's control setup is its most terrifying element. The left analog stick moves you forward, back, and strafes right and left, while the right analog stick turns you and can used to look up and down.

Dreamcast just renders the assets at a higher resolution from scratch. It's lucky that the assets are quite detailed.

There's no way the hair spikes could be recreated from that low res. and the right hand with the stripes, etc, are vastly different.

They're actually much more detailed, but the game runs at such a poor resolution it looks like that.
The Dreamcast can output it at a higher rendering resolution.

They're both renders dude. The same asset rendered on two different machines at different resolutions.

Also take into account that PS1 and Dreamcast have different kinds of image qualities. Dreamcast does texture filtering and also does dither filtering.
