What are some /vr/ approved game collections?
Best $10 I ever spent.
Unlocking the games was bullshit though.

>that perfect minimalistic cover style
the pal version pulls it better, with all letters being the same size, but the multiple colors kinda fucks it up.
and i wonder how many arms and legs the japanese special boxset cost?

Just looked, there's one on ebay for 150 BIN. Not too bad I suppose. Dunno what they sold for at the time, obviously.

Has anyone played the real arcade version of the genesis games?
Were they actual PC ports or just emulators?
I ask because back then all I had to play games was a Windows 2k machine and a bunch of free AOL trials (my parents didn't "trust" an internet company with their Credit Cards)
I discovered Real Arcade and was somehow able to reset the little trial timer that they had, I think it was like an hour before you had to buy the game.
They had S3&K, Ecco, Sonic Spinball, Mean Bean Machine and vectroman
Did these have PC ports?

How come volume ® never got a wide release?
>>3349841
sonic jam is WAAY better. plus they are ports.
>>3349841
Should have gotten this. It has all those games plus a ton more like Phantasy Star 1-4 and the Shining Force games.

Is there anyway to play sonic jam with retroarch or do I have to get SSF?
>>3350051
>Should have gotten a collection that came out 7 years later

The japan only Salamander, Twinbee, and Parodius collections are good too. Salamander collection even has XEXEX and MSX Gradius 2 on i.

>want to get Vol. 4 & 5
>50 burgers each
>don't even care for the actual games, just love the museum itself
Fuck this gay earth. Is it weird to care more about the history of a video game than the video game itself?

Best thing about Sonic Jam is the time trial modes.
I love popping it up and playing any random level I want and see if I can beat my old records.
All the extra content is also pretty cool.

Maybe a little, but I feel you on loving those comfy-ass museums. Shit is so cash.

If you don't care about having physical copies. All 5 are on PSN as PS1 classics
