Bump for OP. I struggled with this as a teen when it dropped, should I go back and see if I got good?

It's a very weird game from what I remember. I'd like to play through it again since I never beat it as a kid and only barely remember some of the larger game points.

It's inferior to Romancing Saga 3 in my opinion but still a great game.

Asellus and Red are the best scenarios. T260 is also cool for a full robot team.

After you finish like two scenarios you will realize you're doing the same thing over and over though. Still a fun game.

It's saga unlimited the same universe as this game?? I played it on ps2 and it was an absolute joke of a game. The whole game was navigated through menus like I was playing a game made for WebTV.

No. Same series, different universe. It's like two different FF games. Unlimited SaGa doesn't have much in common with the other games in terms of gameplay, either.
