pretty disappointing level design.

It sucks as a traditional Sonic Game.

But if you go for the good ending using the "find Metal Sonic Projection and Roboticizer in the Past" route, you'll be in for a C+ exploration based platformer with Sonic physics.

Sluggish, uninspired levels that are only slightly more appealing than those found in Knuckles Chaotix.

Special stages that somehow manage to be more retarded than Sonic 2's.

A shitty soundtrack. (Assuming they stick you with the U.S. version for some reason)

You can choose the soundtrack in the Steam version.

Sonic CD is the only Sonic game with a conservation of momentum, that I know of anyway.

This means things like, if you jump while running up an incline, you jump higher.

because of however, you need to be running on foot when going up slopes, while it's better to roll into a ball when going down hill

S3&K babies hate it because you actually need to get good to go fast, instead of just peeling out for 3 seconds, going until you smash into a wall, then repeating the process after re-positioning.

Levels are fucking huge, this game can still be played like a traditional Sonic game but you will have to memorize the quickest path this time.
