The Sentinel, possibly one of the first stealth-based games ever. Pretty simple game, don't let the Sentinel see you. More fun than it sounds.

The Clocktower series features a lot of hiding as a key part of the game.

Goldeneye 007 had some fun stealth missions.

First time player here. I just finished MG2 (MSX) today and already beat MG1 before.
I liked both, MG1 is not bad at all other than some very cryptic shit that might get you stuck and consult a guide, but that's common for many games of the time. I still found some stuff some people consider bullshit all by myself, like the hideen hole on the wall in the gas maze. But the Jenniffer codec calls that required you to be at an specific screen to trigger them were bullshit.
MG2 improved a lot on the first game, although it had some serious tedious backtracking.
Just starting MGS now. Already did the 10 training missions and infiltrated the facility, met Meryl and I just arrived at B2 floor.
So far it's OK, having a little bit of trouble with the camera sometimes but nothing too bad. It feels like an evolution of MG2. Makes me wonder how MGS would have been it if was 2D, but with SOTN-tier graphics
