Also, why did the American version of GT2 featured so awful in-game tracks? even the European version is miles ahead of it

Both racing and menu tracks were changed.

Western all the way. The music goes perfect with the game. I remember that trying the jap version felt like eating an unripe dry fruit after having a perfectly ripe juicy one. the gameplay itself was quite stiff, at least in arcade.

I guess it fits the jap mind.
