I feel like a recent purchases thread that starts with a thousand dollar game is discouraging though considering most of us myself included generally just pick up a handful of cheap hand when we get the opportunity less than half of which are even retro. I could take some pics of shockingly valuable stuff and claim they were new purchases, probably even have it fly especially with sweet tits

These threads are best when they're kicked off with like three racing games for PS1, a Boogerman cartridge loose and a couple non-retro horror games. You get posters anxious to outdo it, you get retro police spouting off... That's a good time.

TG16 and PCE are the same fucking thing. The only difference is that a couple of pins on the Hu-Cards are swapped. An Everdrive works on both and you can play all PCE games on a TG16 with one.

You can play TG16 games on a PCE and vice-versa with the EverDrive. There's a switch to set what console you're using, and the ROMs from either region will work. YouTube can verify if you can stand watching any of the 'review' videos.

Finally starting to get back all of my N64 games my mom sold when I was younger. Started with Banjo-Kazooie, which is currently in transit. Very hyped.

Also recently bought a bunch of non-retro console stuff, one retro thing included was tetris plus on playstation. Puzzle mode is fun, and I forgot how 5th gen suddenly meant that home games could practically be arcade games.

I bought an old Wonderswan Color to play all the Digimon games on it. Too bad only one was in English and the only one I saw on eBay was sold out. That's actually what sparked me to buy this one, I was afraid the same might happen for the Wonderswan. There's one that emulates all the Virtual Pets that I'm looking forward to playing though.

haven't bought much recently, saving my cash for an arcade cabinet. most of my recent vidya purchases have been non-retro (mario party 6 for $.25, kirby's air ride for $3) but i did order a reproduction of gunstar heroes off aliexpress for a couple bucks. also beefed up my arcade stick recently with a seimitsu ls-56 and sanwa buttons. hell of an improvement over the generic hori stock.

This is actually great news to me because I've had a TG16 forever and a PC Duo R is on my "maybe someday, if I find a good deal as-is and can budget time to perform service" list. Collecting is really getting crazy especially for nes and snes I've actually been thinking of liquidating my own collection from back in the day. I really have to wonder annoy the motivations of people who pay above original retail price for old games unless they're truly a favorite either from memory or from broad sampling via emulation. Its even been a long time since I've picked up anything for either of those systems just because I came across a good deal on it. Two summers ago I picked up a stack of 10 NES carts in my genres for $20 I was pretty stoked about and that same summer I also got a few common non-sports SNES carts at another sale for.$1-$3 I think they were mostly Disney platformers which really are outside my usual genres but thanks to the glowing reviews I've seen on here are no longer on my "kids games do not buy" list. I don't think I've bought any other nes or snes games since then so for over a year and a half.

I just received my SNES super tap thingy that lets you play 5 people at once. it came from Japan and has a Bomberman logo on it.

sent away for 2 more SNES controllers to go with it.

now i need more games (currently only have Secret of Mana...) thought Super Mario Kart was 4P but apparently i thought wrong. Super Bomberman seems like an obvious choice. any other 3+P recommends?

I really don't understand why this is. The MD/Genesis and PCE/TG are two of the easiest consoles to make flash carts for. You can get a Chinese MD ED with an SD with something like every game ever made for under $30 but there's nothing for the PCE. Weird.

Exactly, I think the market must be slightly too small to make 100,000 clones in some Chinese factory. I just got an AliExpress EverDrive for my Famicom, and despite the listing saying it was locked at OS V9.1, it shipped with V13 and has been working flawlessly for 2 weeks or so. I think a lot of people shit on them for being knockoffs or whatever, but I've been pretty happy with mine. I've got a Super Famicom in the mail and I will definitely be ordering a $50 EverDrive from China, and when I can get my Genesis/32X out of storage will do the same.

Then I realized I don't have an sd or microsd so I need to get those and fill them with roms so I can actually use them.

3/4 taste there, anon. I bought a Rockman X3 a couple months ago myself, don't regret it. Cart looks cooler than the U.S. version and is a hell of a lot cheaper.
