anybody here bought one of these? 35 bucks seems ridiculously low. i've been looking around for a jamma compatible cabinet for a while and i've found one roughly in my price range. might pick this up for metal slug, dodonpachi, etc if anyone's had positive experiences.

I liked "Het" better.

At $36 it's probably a good investment to make to get started and make the whole project less intimidating if you don't already have a cabinet. It'll help you get your jamma harness set up and figured out without having to fuck with MAME and the CGA drivers at the same time.
>>3251668
How is $35 ridiculously low for an emulation box that can only handle old 520 old MAME games? You can do better with a PC dug out of the trash and some cheap rewired controllers. Then you can play thousands of MAME games and thousands of console games.

It's brand new and it's pre-wired for JAMMA with proper RGB outputs as well as VGA. Just an IPAC will cost you more than $35. You could tear apart a PS2 keyboard and do all the soldering yourself but it would take up a lot more space and your labor hours would have to be worthless to you.

You sure about that? Every description I've seen says not. Anyway you seem to have no experience with putting together cabs or even soldering so maybe some plug and play Chinese shit is the best thing for you.

It's JAMMA and you think it has no RGB out? Are you sure I'm the one who has no experience?
>>3259118
JAMMA = RGB it's obvious you've never actually done shit with a real arcade cabinet but I hope it makes you feel cool to pretend you have.
>>3259165
JAMMA=connector dingus. In the context of gaming RGB is a very specific type of signal.
>>3259767
ok
>should I waste my money on some chink shit
Probably not
Do you faggots not have a fucking PC capable of playing this shit? You can run roms off of a fucking netbook. Why do you idiots always want to make stuff harder for yourselves.
>>3259781
There you go. Now you know it's a connector. Don't worry. I'm sure the chink shit will work with your LCD cab.
>>3260093
The point anon is making is yes, it's a connector, but one that carries RGB and always has. You clearly are in unknown territory if you didn't already know this very basic truth of Jamma
>Paying to emulate
>>3260145
With this device it carries RGB in the same way that RGB cable carried RGB to your dads old VGA monitor.
>>3261579
My dad didn't have Vga.
Vga wasn't a thing until I was in my late teens.
You still have no idea what you're talking about, you can literally wire from jamma to scart, no separate converter needed.

I'd honestly like to believe he's trolling but in reality this is how far /vr/ has fallen. He's incapable of even looking at the diagram I posted last night most likely because he thinks he already knows everything as he is acting like a typical 15 year old.
>>3261846
Agreed. If he is trolling he's just doing a piss poor job of it as well.
>>3261901
Lol yeah you're trolling now
Unless you think Vga is the only video output on this and completely ignored the jamma connector.
Thanks for the laugh!
