Anyone know how to compile Project 64 from source? The already-compiled installer comes with malware that you have to opt-out of, and I don't truely trust that you can *really* opt-out of it. This can be avoided by compiling Project 64 yourself. Unfortunately, I have zero experience compiling anything in Windows (only limited experience in Linux using make files).
i think 1.7 is better than 2 with our without the malware
Download VS Community edition, I suppose. Or maybe you need GCC. Either way, google compiling software on windows.

ditch pj64. grab mupen64plus and the python gui frontend.

Already did that. It works alright, but the graphics options are pretty limited, and controls are cumbersome to rebound.
