Excellent game with 11/10 sound track. Tons of versatility and options regarding route and method of attack. Also, subdued plot. Most people just take it as a shoot'em up or some military plot, but if you take a closer look at the soundtrack, there's dialog they don't force upon you during the game (you'll be too busy with the action) and it's a futuristic retelling of the myth of Selene and Endymion. Not even joking. I didn't know for years.

It was quite the handful.

Yeah, I don't understand why it hasn't garnered attention recently. Other games like Raystorm and Radiant Silvergun got re-releases (the former with some actual new content in the form of the R-Gear).

Its too bad, because visually, Einhander felt pretty damn cinematic. It would greatly benefit from a HD remake.
