Most popular Sega system in South America.
>>3223456
You forgot to put "3rd worlders General" as the title, OP.
Please fix this.
>>3223456
>>3223467
I know you guys like to be ignorant, but I must inform you that Brazil is just 1 country from latin america, not the whole continent.
The actual most popular Sega system in south america is the Sega Genesis.
>>3223456
i understand there's a lotta microcephaly down there
>>3223476
Do we even have non-Brazil sales numbers for SA?
>>3223506
Don't think so, most of the Sega Genesis sold here were actually chinese clones and all of the games were bootleg too.
>>3223456
Are you sure it was that and not... this?
This cheaper and nastier version of the MS with Alex Kidd built in is what revived video games where I live (guess where cunt).
>>3223456
>Most popular Sega system in Brazil
FTFY, because herePerúit was a lot easier to get an SNES.
Until now, here it's either Nintendo or Sony, not even Microsoft matters here.
>>3223546
Even today*
You niggas will never believe which one was the most popular retro console onChilebefore the Playstation appeared here around 1998
>>3223546
>FTFY, because here Perú it was a lot easier to get an SNES.
But the SNES isnt a Sega console.
>>3223476
And?
It's still a poverty-stricken 3rd world shithole. A mile outside of the wealthy center of rio, you have people living in literal garbage heaps.
>>3223540
>(guess where cunt).
England.
>>3223552
So? I repeat, at least here, it was either Nintendo or Sony. The only time I've seen a Sega console here was at those places where you pay to play the console for an hour or so and was a fucking Dreamcast of all the choices
>>3223572
Which doesnt dispute his claim that Master System is the best selling Sega product in SA if Sega products were non-existent in Chile.
>>3223556
You could say the whole Americas are a 3rd world shithole, and most of Europe that isn't northern too.
What countries aren't 3rd world shithole today? Finland, Japan... what else?
>>3223540
It's the same system.
>>3223583
TecToy sold 5 million Master System and 3 million Mega Drives in Brazil, although a lot of those were clone systems.
Mega Drive would need to outsell Master System by more than 2 million to win the SA market.
but putting an entire continent as a market is kinda dumb, but I disgress.
>>3223583
>Chile
I said Perú. Chile (and Argentina or basically anywhere in SA with PAL) was Sega's territory, but I get your point, I was trying to make the point that not every country in SA was like Chile or Brazil
>>3223606
Ok, Chile wasn't Sega's, but you get what I'm trying to say
>>3223606
Whoops, sorry meant to type Peru. Apologize if I came across as a dick earlier.
>>3223456
>Implying South America is canon
It was a good console.
>>3223540
in what way did it revive it anon? Boat person here
What's the most popular system in Africa?
>>3223585
>What countries aren't 3rd world shithole today? Finland, Japan... what else?
Start with the G8 countries, then pick and choose from the list of the latest "G8+X" summit, then add anyone who remains from the founding members of the EU. The rest are all pretty much shitholes.

Pokemon for genny? Fug
>>3223737
I think they have some Famiclone type stuff floating around, if I'm not mistaken. I know it pops up in the mid-east.
>>3223737
Rocks and sticks.
>>3223787
I always said NES and Famiclones are the most sold consoles
>>3223549
Really? That's weird
>>3223549
I wanted one of these things when I was a kid but never got one.
I didn't realize it was hardly any different from the Atari 800 we already had.

The most popular was actually the Mega Drive.
Thank god for that, as it's the best console of that gen.
>>3223910
>not having been a 4th gen idort
Then again, I know back then, especially in south america, you had to be a richfag for that. I was lucky my grandma spoiled me.
>>3223476
Holy shit they had truco bootlegs?
>>3224004
Yeah dude.
There's also a truco arcade game, I used to play this shit when I was bored of everything else at the arcade.

Freaking A. Whenever I get a MD I'm gonna look for one of those.
>>3223857
Chile is full of Atari computers, because retailers in the late 80's bought them for pocket change when the NES and the Genesis were the dominant consoles on the USA. Is easier to find a full working atari computer with games than a Super Nintendo or any sega system for example. To the point there was a company here who made Atari multicarts. They even invented a way to load atari games from VHS tapes.
>>3223737
Black people don't play video games.
>>3223476
>Brazil is just 1 country from latin america
Brazil is not "Latin America".
"Latin America" is the Spanish speaking countries in South America.
>>3224807
>implying Portuguese isn't a Romance language
>>3223737
The whole gigantic continent? I'm sure it varies from country to country.
hehehe I love being a racist on the internet.
fuck niggers! fuck spics!
hehe
>>3224481
My experience from my expeditions show that they enjoy local multiplayer games, mainly of the fighting and sports genres.
>>3224325
>They even invented a way to load atari games from VHS tapes.
Ok, this is amazing.
>>3224830
I want to know how this worked, any links?

Behold the king of famiclones in southamerica
>>3224828
BR here.
That's absolutely true. They fucking love Fifa and games that run on toasters, because that's what most people have here.
On the other hand, the little black kids who grew up playing Winning Eleven on the PS for some reason think it's ok to pay 600 USD on a PS4 and about 50 USD on games, as long as you only need to pay installments of 5 or 10 USD a month, regardless of how many months it'll take.
Actually that's the only way anyone can ever buy anything expensive here.
