I don't get why people think Secret of Mana is good. The whole "wait so many seconds between each attack to attack at full power" seems like it'd grind the game to a halt. I played it for 20 mins or so and just couldn't get into it at all.

It's boring to see everytime the same games in these lists.
OP, just play Metal Max Returns. It's my favourite SNES game and doesn't appear in any list.

A lot of enemies have a pattern that let you build your gauge between attacks, including bosses.. But that's also part of the fun. The game has a lot of positioning and suchwhat.

It's probably less an action game than people advertise.
