What is /vr/´s opinion of this game?

It's bad because there is only one way to play it and that is to go to the last island right away without fighting anything and then grap all the unprotected treasure.

Please tell me you grabbed that screenshot off Google? Like, filters are meant for cartoony-looking console graphics, they work like shit with early DOS games.

It's not really bizarre because searching for said item (the scepter) takes many days, so if you don't find you're just wasting precious time. You need to find map pieces to see where the scepter is, and it'd take a good amount of them for you to be sure the scepter is buried right at the start.

The TAS in this is probably manipulating the game in some way so that it'll spawn the scepter right at the start point 100% of the time.

It would be easier to just constantly loadstate until each coordinate fell into place. Once the X is set, save and let the Y be set, then dig.

I would like to see more games where the ultimate goal is in a completely random location. Only other game I know that does this is Elminage Original on the PSP, which scatters the rings about and you have to do quests to narrow down the location.

Hilariously, if you savescum and get to the final boss without spending any fame, the game punishes you by making him go from "challenging" to "Babby's First RPG Maker Ultimate Boss" and you are promptly splattered by physical attacks that charm, behead, petrify, stun, poison and... you get the idea.

Ding ding ding. The Genesis can't generate truly random numbers, so the RNG calculations are based on input.
