I love this series!
It's a pretty unique spin on the tried and true
Street Fighter 2 style games of the time.
I really love the battle damage aspect of this game where clothes would be torn and armor broken.
Much like how Art Of Fighting 2 did it but that game takes it to a whole new level of awesome.
Fighters History had some really cool characters as well as the infamous "Double German" attack that my friends and I still quote to this day.

Mizoguchi appeared in King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2 Regulation A. What is it with fighting games and giant names?

Karnov was Data East's mascot.
Ryoko was based on Ryoko Tani, a real-life judoka (there's another one in World Heroes).

Just ordered the first original on super famicom, what can I expect?

Why is this series always singled out as the "SF2 ripoff" when pretty much every fighting game made after 1991 borrows something from SF? I'm sure there are worse offenders out there.

But Capcom LOST that lawsuit. It was literally stated in a court that Fighter's History wasn't infringing any copyrights. Why do people still raise a stink about it?

The only game that can't really be considered a SF clone is Fatal Fury which was made by the guys who made SF 1 and plays just like it but much better. Terry and Andy can also be considered the half brothers of Ryu and Ken.

Ironically enough, I've never played SF and have played this game a ton. Weird world.

I'll add that is what made the SF2 game. That and the different speed and power hits. SF2 was also more fluid than the SNK games (though many neogeo fighting games are fantastic)

I have no idea what you're trying to say but yes, the game has combos

There's barely any moves that can cause knockdowns in this game. It can throw you off if you play other traditional fighters like SF.
