Nice anon, i'd show you mine but it's in a corner with a bunch of stuff on top of it.

Only one choice if you're not going to hook it up to a CRT - XRGB mini
>>
>>3187379

PVM with RGB input > Consumer CRT with RGB SCART input > Consumer CRT with YPbPr added with a CSY2100 (or similar quality RGB to YPbPr converter).

Those are the options for CRTs. In order of best to worst.

The only option that is even close to worth it on an HDTV is the Framemeister.
No other solution looks as good, or has as minimal lag than a Framemeister.

Everything like that eBay box will look crap and add multiple frames of lag. I have two different boxes that are similar to that one pictured. They are both crap.
No Shmups or fighting games can be played with that amount of lag. And the MVS is mostly fighting games and Shmups.

To continue, I just recently got my xrgb (my BVM died :( ) and I realised I needed resistors on all the colour outputs because the colour was all washed out and bright on the screen. Didn't bother my CRTs.

pic is my mvs on 20' BVM
>>
>>3187379
what kind of screen do you use. What kind of input are available on it. Are you willing to spend money or go as cheap as possible.
>>
>>3188048
if he bought a consolised mvs money can't be that much of a object
>>
Op here!!
Thank you guys for trying to help
>>3187949
I would really like to see it thank you!
Also i want to use my LED screen on my living room and it only has HDMI ,RCA and VGA, i've been looking for the xrgb mini and it looks like i need some kind of cable adapter right?
>>3187971
Yeah i just check seems to be the better option right? I mean you are talking about the xrgb mini framemeister right?
>>3187981
I'm sorry what's a BMV ? Also you said that you need to install resistors for the xrgb mini? Then not a good idea to get me one?
>>3188048
It's a 55" LED full 1080p , and it has Hdmi , rca , composite and VGA , i can spend some money if it's going to be worth it
>>3188059
Well i paid around $400 for it but i don't want to spend another $400 on it just want to see my options to see which one is more appropriate
>>
>>3187379
Get a crt for the love of god.
>>
>>3190796
Not everyone is 3rd world.
>>
>>3190818
Right, so it should be really easy to find one for cheap/free where you live.
>>
>>3190896
Not everyone is a beaner or wants a tiny shit CRT.

>i've been looking for the xrgb mini and it looks like i need some kind of cable adapter right?
it comes with a scart adapter that is wired for a different standard than euro scart but can be easily rewired. Then by the looks of your MVS you would just need a scart male - male cable as the mini plugs into your tv via hdmi

>I'm sorry what's a BMV ? Also you said that you need to install resistors for the xrgb mini? Then not a good idea to get me one?
A BVM is a high quality model of CRT monitor. Whoever put together your consolised MVS most likely put the required resistors in but it's an easy fix if not.

>I don't want to spend another $400 on it just want to see my options to see which one is more appropriate.
honestly there is no other option atm. Maybe if you wait a while there may be a cheaper alternative. If getting a mini is not an option i'd look at getting a good/big CRT for cheap rather than a shitty scaler. This is way easier if you live in europe where TVs with RGB scart are plentiful.

never actually added a converter for s-video and conposite so they're just there as place holders. I will probably redo it at some point and just have the power switch, the ac jack and a scart jack there.

another shot on a CRT
>>
>>3189721
I'd get the frameister or try the CSY2100 (which may or may not work depending if your 50" tv supports low resolution)
>>

>try the CSY2100 (which may or may not work depending if your 50" tv supports low resolution)

240p Component on a HDTV?

Way to add lag! Goodbye to most of the MVS library being playable.

xrgb mini framemeister is the only thing that will work.

Sorry OP, $400 more is what you need to spend if you stubbornly insist on using a HDTV.

BVM (Broadcast Video Monitor) is the Platinum standard of CRTs. PVM (Professional Video Monitor) is the gold standard JUST below that.

I live in Florida
>>3191373
So what you are saying is that if i buy the xrgb mini comes with an adapter but i'm gonna have to rewire the adapter
>>3191445
Looks good , really elegant
>>3191480
I think it looks good but here on the us i haven't found those monitors
>>3191607
So the xrgb mini then , well my friend at the beginning said that i may need to rewire the adapter for it to work on my mvs , i got my mvs from Italy i forgot to say

I really want to make this work , if i'm gonna have to rewire the thing i would appreciate to know how to do and how hard would it be to get it done , i mean i've done some wiring work before when i modded my Gba with a backlight display so i guess i can make it work

You either want a XRGB Framemeister
XRGB-3
Or a OSSC.

Framemeister is the easiest to use. Don't think there's much problem with latest firmware.

xrgb-3 is the best line doubler atm. Will require transcoders to work on modern TV.

OSSC look very promising. Not out yet though. It's line doubler and may prove to be better than the XRGB-3. Big problem with this one is no HDMI over sound. Other problems may arise when it's officially released.
