I have a 40 inch LED TV and playing old games on it looks like shit. I bought a cheap upscaler (the one in pic related) and it didn't even do anything to help it. I'm not looking to spend $400 on a Framemeister and I don't know anything about hardware modding. Is there a cheaper upscaler out there that makes composite look alright? I mean I know it'll still look shitty but I mean tolerable. Maybe something that adds scanlines?
Just buy a cheap CRT tv you fucking hack.

I'd get a non garbage TV first.

No, retard. Don't play 240p games on an HDTV period.

RGB+Framemeister
Everything else is crap.
Options for high quality retro gaming:
>Spend the money on a good upscaler
>Play on a CRT
>Emulate

You didn't buy an upscaler, you bought a converter. They are two different things anon

A CRT will look better even with composite video only.
plus that way you can allow dithering, which makes a TON of difference in many games.

A few games on the Mega Drive are not worth the steep drop in quality for composite.
