Why don't they make games like this anymore? Survival horrors that rely on exploration and puzzle solving rather than sp00py corridors and jomp scares. It's why I wasn't too excited for Silent Hills anyway.
Cue NESfag in 3...2...1...
I want the babby's to stop call RE a survival horror.

Hey fetus, can you explain what survival horror means to you then?
>>3096729
Survival
RE is easy, the puzzle retarded and the exploration minimal.
Is a good horror shooter, nothing more.
For example games like Forbidden siren, Rule of rose or the first two Silent hill are real survival

So is aggressively denying the established definitions of genres the new cool way to shitpost on /vr/? Because it's pretty transparent in this case.

> easy, the puzzle retarded and the exploration minimal.
applies to Silent Hill, dummy. "survival" has nothing do with the difficulty, it just refers to having limited resources. are you trying to be dense?
I never finished RoR but it was pretty damn easy for the first 3 or 4 hours I played

Indie developers do but it's not a genre that makes enough money to be worth it to big publishers now
