Why does everyone seem to hate this game? I loved it as a kid and I've been playing it again lately and it's still just as fun as ever. Sure it's not perfect, the field of view is small, the graphics are rough, the racing is kinda slow and it's no where near as good as F-Zero and Super Mario Kart but I still love it. Anyone else a fan?

Yeah I never noticed as a teen. Played it again more recently and couldn't deal with it.

I guess I'm just one of those people who isn't bothered by a low framerate. The game has so much charm that any flaws are easily ignorable. It's on par with Uniracers in my mind.

This, not a fan of the phrase "aged badly" but any old game with sub 30 frame rate is tough to go back to.

When it was new I played the shit out of it, unlocked most if not everything I think.

By overclocking the super Fx chip in an emulator or modding the cartridge the game runs much smoother, the same can also be done with Star Fox.

It is a nice game, bar the frame rate. Uni(racers/rally) is great - and definitely no framerate issues there.
