That's fast. Took me a few weeks to beat UW2 even with a walkthrough, after I got stuck with that "listener imp" nonsense.

I originally beat UW1 without a FAQ, but it took me over 2 months playing it on and off.

Too bad the games have poor replay value. Once you're explored every inch of the dungeons, it's boring.

I've replayed it a bunch of times now to try different stuff like a minimum strength run. Knowing the Abyss like the back of my hand means I can plow through it relatively fast.

There are a number of useful utility spells. Offensive magic isn't that great since you quickly run out of mana, need space to cast and the additional aiming required makes it complicated compared to swinging a weapon. Something like Flame Wind to burn through hordes of enemies can be handy but they also have drawbacks.

Shields are pretty standard. The only reason not to use one would be missile weapons and missile weapons are the worst option for combat.

Any thoughts on underworld ascendant?
I think it'll up being decent.

Am I wrong thinking that Druid is the best class?

Can Druids get Strength 30? I thought they could only get 28.
I think Paladin is the best. They can strike a nice balance between combat and magic. Ranger also have good potential but their skill selection isn't perfect.
You can get the casting skills relatively easily in the beginning of 1 with Om Cah. In 2 having a high casting skill is more helpful since you start with the Mani rune (needed for healing) which takes a while until you can obtain it.
