So yeah, title pretty much says it all, MSX looks like an interesting system worth checking out, but most if not all of the games seem to be from the (Japan) region, so I'm guessing lots of them will be inaccessible to english only speaking people.
Is there some sort of "recommended" list of MSX games worth checking out that are english friendly? I know there are a few already fan-translated ones, but besides those really.

The MSX was released in Europe and got many games in English over there, but most were just ports of ZX Spectrum games.

make sure you have a FM-PAC or SCC+ plugged in to your emulator/real msx or you won't hear the proper music.

I use blueMSX, and I think i need these, do you have a link for these? I had a rom that asked for this and I wasn't able to google anything useful. I assume there like bios?
Also are there any 'packs' of pre-patched roms somewhere?

you should be able to 'plug' them in in the 2nd slot same as you do roms. I think they should come with bluemsx. I don't use an emulator so I don't know.
