Tenchu is pretty high on my list, as is Bushido Blade.

Spyro 1 is the only PS1 game that I still have fun playing as an adult. Most of the games I remember being good are shit awful.

I finished this game a few days ago, I loved the game and at the same time hated it.
It's not bad, but they made many wrong decision with the battle system it could have been great if they got it right.

Crash Bandicoot 2 is the game that easily stood the test of time in both graphics and gameplay in the PlayStation lineup. It's as great now as it was in 1997.

I kinda feel the same way about it. I never revisited LoD, mostly because after watching a few youtube videos of it the load times seem absolutely ridiculous, maybe I'll play it on emulator and fast forward through that shit.

From what I remember playing it a long time ago, though, additions were kind of a neat idea, but got really boring really fast since you use the same one a shitload of times. Like they tried to spice up the generic RPG formula but just gave you a chore every turn instead. IIRC the dragoon forms were also overpowered as hell? Not sure, talking out of my ass at this point

At the time, probably Crash 2. Today I think MGS holds up better than anything else on the console. Abe's Odysee is in close 2nd.

I'd go the other way around. MGS shows way more age than Crash 2, even though MGS is excellent in many ways. Possibly the best non-horror atmosphere in any game I've played.
