I used to play that one on my old 1995 IBM Aptiva. The music was pretty epic.

I was like 6 years old and I remember being puzzled that it snowed on December rather than July. (I'm from Argentina). That game taught me the seasons were opposite in the Northern Hemisphere.

First time /vr/ lurker. Didn't know people still play this game. Played it a lot when I was a child. Good times.

There's an actively developed FOSS port of it to basically every platform that exists, complete with online multiplayer.

May not be the best but locomotion is pretty cool too. Plays very similarly to transport tycoon but it has building mechanics like rollercoaster tycoon's and the graphics are more detailed than transport tycoon's graphics.

Yeah it seems to have issues with modern windows. I've been running it in a VM running 32bit windows 7 and it runs great for me so it may be a problem with 64bit windows.

Sure, RCT destroys it in almost every way, but Theme Park is still pretty fun.

The Playstation Cutscenes in this game used to scare me as a kid. This was my first Tycoon game and I loved it so much...until RCT came out. They released this game on the ds a while back. Any idea if it is any good compared to the original?

Played the DS version because nostalgia. Kinda enjoyed it but that handshake minigame made me stop. I don't remember it being this annoying back when I played as a kid (SEGA version).

This is pretty cool and just by fiddling around the UI, it seems deeper and more complex than OpenTTD. I'll try to learn it once I've finished my 4k map run. It's a shame it doesn't have a Tamriel map though.

Check the website. The paks are graphics theme you prefer. I liked the latest comics one. Very easy on the eyes.
