I'm actually cool with all of them save the Twins. Terada just plain fucked up on them. The cancelled Disney Adventure comic is pretty mixed bag, too. Cecil, Kain and Rosa look like generic early 90s superheroes, but some of the others look almost exactly like Amano's art. And Cid is Macho Man Randy Savage.

No that's Masamune Shirow. Katsuya Terada used to do a lot of interior art for Nintendo Power. His most high profile work was the character designs for the original Blood The Last Vampire movie, and he does a ton of commercial and art pieces.

The art sort of make sense at the time. Also most the art here is very much inspired by european fantasy art. It is super metal hurlant.

Thanks, I can never remember this guy's name. I hate his art like the OP posted but looking at Google images now some of his new stuff actually looks really good. He's actually improved a lot since the old NP days.

Fuck I loved the art for that when I was a kid.

Terada's art is fantastic, and I love the character illustrations themselves, but as interpretations of the FFIV characters... ehhhh, not so much.
