Well you have a daughter and you have to select her activities for the month ranging from different jobs or trainings. You want her to become a master swordsman or dancer or artist no problem. Based on your skills and events and quests (there is a big RPG element to it) you will get one of MANY endings. It's quite simple hearted but extremely detailed RPG. In one ending my daughter become a general of the army on other Demon queen and even a prostitute. Game is short but lots of fun

OP if you like WarCraft 1 and that slower old-RTS style of gameplay, check out Dune 2, and Blood And Magic. Both similar gameplay styles.

Personally I prefer Dune 1, which is more of an adventure/strategy hybrid. There's nothing quite like it.

The basic concept is a standard 4x game, but with the tech tree replaced by magic research. You dont follow technology upgrades, rather you learn individual spells with widely varying effects.
The game also includes tactical, turn based combat when a player army encounters an NPC force.
The game was buggy as shit on release, got a few patches in the days before widespread internet access, which upgraded it to "playable". In recent years a dedicated fan community have released a series of unofficial patches, the first major series dubbed "insecticide" due to a focus on simply fixing game breaking bugs, the last few insecticide patches began to introduce some new features before the author stopped working on them in order to focus on other things.
Another dev has very recently stepped up and has two separate projects, one an extremely comprehensive bugfix patch that also massively upgrades the notoriously stupid AI and makes diplomacy actually work as intended, and a fork that greatly overhauls the game play and redesigns practically everything, which he calls "Caster of Magic". This dude also developed a tool for applying and removing individual patches, making the game fairly readily moddable.

Even in the final official version, 1.31, buggy and crash-probe as it is, it's fun as shit to learn and try out all the different possibilities. The 1.4 Insecticide patch makes it very bearable, and the 1.5 Raid patch gives you an actual challenging 4x game.

I never heard of Master of Magic. I recently downloaded Dosbox to play Quest for Glory for the first time (the official 1989) and having a blast with it.

Looking at that game though, I also feel like it'd be my type of game. judging from the explanation below, I'll probably try it next.

Just get the insecticide 1.40n patch right away to start with. The bugs in the official version will leave you angry and frustrated. Ignore the 1.40o patch, it breaks more than it fixes by trying to add new features.

The 1.5 Raid patch is good, the only problem is that in the original release, the devs knew damn well that their AI was turbospazztarded, so they gave it massive resource and upkeep bonuses to try to allow it to keep up. In other words, the computer gets to cheat like a motherfucker.
The 1.5 patch fixed the shit out of the AI...but did nothing about its bonuses.

Now, the intended audience for this patch have been fucking around with this game for the better part of two decades. They know the most efficient ways to accomplish what they want, and the challenge is refreshing.
I imagine a fresh player getting buttstomped by swarms of lizardmen and halflings while they're still trying to figure out how the build trees work in cities would be frustrating as hell.

Then you've got the standard floating car racing games. Hi Octane, Wip3out and sequels. Zone Raiders exists but it's pretty janky nowadays. Megarace hasn't aged that well but MR3 might be playable.

DOS racing games are mostly simulators like Grand Prix Circuit, The Cycles, Indy 500, Stunts, Test Drive, or pure arcade games like Micro Machines, SuperSpeed, Death Rally.

These aren't bad games, but there was nothing even close to F-Zero on DOS as far as I know.
