I honestly quite liked the tokusatsu inspired monster models and the special effects on attacks

the player's characters looked pretty basic but I like them too cause it stimulates my imagination more than more detailed graphics would? which is kind of a bullshit reason, but they just never bothered me

I've seen bad 3D graphics that bother me too (banjo and kazooie springs to mind, hideous)

The first game actually has a spell that stops encounters and you can, a little before then, sort of do the same thing by skating everywhere

Every game after the first lets you stop encounters by pressing a button, so this is really the wrong series to be making that complaint about.

The only Wild Arms games that should even exist are the first 2 games. All the rest are literal shit-tier.

It's kind of the perfect /vr/ jrpg series, in that regard. Because only the retro games were any fucking good.

This. I don't see how he can legitimately say that he loves 2 yet somehow hates 3 when gameplay wise they're nearly identical. Even 4, which is by far the weakest of the series still has fun to be had within and is worth playing.
