tfw You want to play Mario Kart Battle Mode and you're all

I suck at SMK so much. Though I've found recently that I'm really bad at all Mario Kart now, I don't know what happened. I have gone on to beat other racers instead since, like Diddy Kong Racing for example, but I didn't think it would be such a drastic switch away from that game to Mario Kart.

I got pretty terrible at MK64 too, for the record.

It's deceptive so you wouldn't think so right away, but Mario Kart really is one of those "Easy to learn, difficult to master" kind of games.

I guess I'm more confused that I played and beat almost every game in the series at time of release. SMK has always evaded my efforts but now so too does MK64 and every other game I used to be aces at in the series. Dunno what happened.

I would say the mindset and attention changes (matures?) with age. I can't last the first level in many games, that I sunk in many hours as a kid, aswell. Also older games tend to be punishingly unpolished.
