This is just my opinion and sorry to be of little help but PAL sucks ass 99% of the time I had to restart my collection before I had heaps of games, It happens to people used to PAL and then discover what they've been playing there whole lives was the shit format nobody wants :D Awesome game and art too btw

yeah i guess a good starting point is games that were developed in europe
Is it even worth collecting pal? Are the games cheaper in America? I only have a few pal games for PS1; Misadventures of Tron Bonne, BoF 3, Star Ocean: Second story. Should I sell them and start collecting NTSC games? There are a lot of PS1 games I want to play, yet werent released in PAL regions.

anything slightly obscure in PAL is super expensive and you're going to pay out the arse for
japanese games seem to be the cheapest but if its anything text heavy you're kinda fucked
pal jrpgs are so fucking expensive
Good question man :D Im just beginning switching my collection for ps1 from pal to ntsc whilst i still have less than 10 games. It would slowly crush my soul to have a large pal collection. Yeah the ntsc usa and japan games are mostly cheaper, have a better library and are in better condition too, not many will tell you that because its such a hateful competitive hobby full of scammers :D
ntsc j and usa has 60fps for everything too (the way it was meant to be played by the developers themselves - avoid that pal optimised crap completely its just not worth more hassle on top of all the other bs retro stuff to worry about :D
Goldeneye and Perfect Dark have a higher native rendering resolution in PAL so the games look sharper.
ntsc super punch-out getting pricey but heaps cheaper than pal play it on a sfc its compatible :D seems to be no japanese ones around if at all. You know Im finding Krusty's Fun house for sega ms getting harder to find at a good price

>the shit format nobody wants
It was a good format, just too bad the most console developers worked in 60fps and just slowed down their shit for PAL.
I had to redownload my whole collection of games after I figured that out, really annoying.
