Your favorite Game Boy Color game?

That one is up there. It's my favorite panel de pon variant.
I'd say it's a toss between Poke Crystal and MGS Ghost Babel.
>>2871863
Oh snap, I love that game.
>>2871883
I would probably say Crystal for me as well. I've probably played through the game at least half a dozen times.
I absolutely loved Mario Tennis too, but the story mode was incredibly easy. I didn't drop a set in singles the first time I played though the game even though I didn't know the rules of tennis very well.

Mario Tennis is up there for sure.

Star Ocean: Blue Sphere, by far.
Pokemon TCG 2
Gives you a lot more cards than the first game, and more opponents, too.
Figuring out how to beat the statue opponents was very fun, even though Alakazam+Tentacool can pretty much beat them all.

I'm with this anon. Pokemon Crystal, although a generic answer, is beyond a doubt my favorite Game Boy Color game. I spent a ton of time with it and I continue to find out new things so it still has a bit of that mysterious factor that made playing a new game fun.

While not in my top 10, this game has in-fucking-credible music. The G/S music remixes are top notch.
>>2871863
In terms of playtime length, probably Lufia: The Legend Returns.
I loved Puzzle Challenge too, but was never good enough to get too far on Intense as a kid. Maybe I'd be better with it now.
Honorable mention to the Zelda Oracle games, after Lufia they'd be my absolute favorites.
Survival Kids
the sequel was only released in japan, but got a translation recently, check it out http://www.romhacking.net/translations/2330/

Fun but this had more atmosphere
Grandia: Parallel Trippers is pretty good.
so addictive
I know, this isn't GBC, but it's still amazing.
Pretty fun western take on the JRPG

All these pokemon fans and nobody brought up Pinball?
>>2872958
the chamber of secrets was even better desu
>>2872958
Man I beat this game so often. I really loved it. Probably going back to it I'll be disappointed, but it looked really nice. I really liked the dragon minigame.
>>2873262
I dunno. Maybe it was, but my memory of it is not as fond. I remember the third one pretty much sucking, though, because it focused too much on the cards. Or something like that, I don't remember at all what it was like, I just remember that it was very different.

I can't believe how much I love Pokemon Pinball. It's the game more than any other that surprised me, and still does, with how good it is.
I still sometimes get back into playing it, and can happily sit with it for hours on end, which is rare for me with video games these days.

I've been thinking of giving these GameBoy Harry Potter games a go with my wife. Do you know anything about the Prisoner of Azkaban game on GameBoy Advance? Looks like the same sort of game as the GBC titles but just with next-gen graphics.
>>2872641
Man that is some terrible boxart.
>>2873315
Prisoner of Azkaban is just like you said, it's sadly the last Harry Potter RPG game. Definitely try it if you're going to play the trilogy. If you like the books you're going to enjoy them a lot more, they're the only games that take more elements from the books rather than just the movies. Chamber of Secrets was my favorite, I remember it having really cool graphics for a GBC game as well (reflections and stuff during the Basilisk battle, I think).

The Japanese boxart (and art in general) was pretty awful too. I think the American box is a slight improvement, even if it's still terrible. The American art is definitely less derpy overall.
I played a lot of Super Mario Bros DX, probably because the save battery in my copy died and so I had to keep replaying stages to unlock the other modes.

I thought people preferred the N64 version
Got to be dragon warrior monters, also ikea box fits gb games perfect
has to be Pokemon Gold
I poured my childhood into it
>>2872687
Revelations was mine until I got this
>>2873478
Thanks for the response. Love the books, so even if they're mediocre games I'l probably still enjoy 'playing the story'.
I keep hearing that Chamber of Secrets is the best in this trilogy so I guess that's the place to start, although Azkaban appears to capture much more atmosphere with its graphics.

Bill's Gengar destroys the ai in this game as well.
>>2874197
Crazy. I got them both around the same time while everyone else was waiting for the advance
