Do you bother with replacing batteries inside your carts?
>>
If I had the game bit screwer, I'd do it, it's pretty easy and batteries are cheap.

So far my Metroid II, Wario Land and Pokemon Gold batteries all died.
Metroid II and Wario died recently, Pokemon Gold died a long time ago, but it's a known fact batteries for Gold and Silver all died prematurely.

i just noticed my wario land died. most of my nes carts still work however. both zeldas, startropics, dragon warriors, etc

I thought about it once the batteries in my carts really started to go.

>too much work
>dumbass screwdriver
>lazy

I'd rather emulate but I fucking love Wario Land

it's really the screwdriver thing only, it's not really that much work to replace the battery.
>>
How long are the batteries supposed to last? What about for GBA?
>>
What other alternatives are there? Are you talking about those game saver add ons?
>>
I have all the tools, so why not. The only games I've had issues with are the gen 2 pokemons.

Why haven't you bought your gamebit set yet, anons? It's not even expensive.

What I found in 2 mins of googling:
http://www.amazon.com/Security-Screwdriver-Super-Nintendo-Cartridges-Systems/dp/B009I6FWOQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1449814445&sr=1-1&keywords=gamebit

There should be sets with the handle included, too if you dig a bit deeper.

beat it schlomo
>>
>>2846994
I have a handle for these types of bits, but none of the gamebit screws I've experienced can't be undone with just your fingers.
>>
>>2846926
Depends on if the game has a clock like Pokemon Gold/Silver do. The GBA doesn't use batteries to save, that's why Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald will tell you clock based events will no longer happen.

Just use a pen, it's not hard.
