The consoles are cheap. It's the Turbo CD and games that are pricey.

No, atleast not current everdrives.
But with a Duo PC Engine you can easily burn them. There is no protection at all.

I got lucky finding a TG-16 at Goodwill for only $3.99, but the PC Engine is a way better long-term investment.
