Was the Thief cutscene art done by the same people as the hexen boxart? seems really similar
That painting has been around for a long time, long before it was used as the cover for that game. It's called Heavy Metal Hero. A friend of mine has a poster of it on his wall.

Shh, no words, just box art.

Neat
This one had a huge budget for the box art, I bet.

ride around in a train trading stuff. The enemy trains are invisible which is lame. But the battles are kinda cool, with trains and elephants and men running around. really a different kinda game, should be a sequel.
Loved this cover

Sorta looks like a propaganda/enlistment ad. Looks amazing at doing so
>>2818541
Always loves how this is not indicative of the silly game inside.

The devs seemed to have cared enough to make this art happen, makes me want to check it out and I barely even glance at Atari/Intellivision games (not that they're bad but they were deff before my time.)
best

Oh shit nigger is that Megami Tensei? I want a poster of that in my mancave.
>>2825041

I miss this art style. Sorry, I couldn't find a bigger version

I played this game all the time. When I was a kid I thought those guys were firefightes and I wondered why they were on the cover.
If only the game was this cool.
Meant to reply. These look a lot alike.

Huh, I was literally thinking about how all those old American arcade flyers and boxart are all pretty shitty

I didn't know they made Playstation games in the 80's
>>2814842
The box art for the old Atari 2600 games was so awesome.
>>2832859
I didn't know they made Atari 2600 games in the 80's
>Bernard in the center despite Dave being the protagonist
>Bernard is the only one who goes on the sequel
Coincidence? I think not.

That's a great thread theme
