Or just games you thought were obscure when you were younger.
Made this mosaic years ago.
There's a Socket thread on /vr/ right now but I haven't seen people talk about it for years.
Mines of Titan
Got this one copied on some 5.25" I don't even remember. I could never get far and every attempt to find a guide for this had failed.
Dark Earth
never seen anybody mention it on /vr/
This was the ">game you played as a kid but never finished"
Shit, I should play it
Kid Clown series. Nobody ever knows what I'm talking about when I mention Crazy Chase, but it was one of the first games I got for SNES..
Twilight Zone.
Bet I am the only one who was lucky enough to endure this.
Three words:
DEAD
HEAT
SCRAMBLE

I used to ride up and down that highway for hours when I was a kid. Holy shit
It was E.V.O for a while but I think it's pretty well recognized as a "hidden gem" these days and most people would own it if it wasn't so rare

You got me man. I have never played or even heard of a single one of these games.
I've never seen anyone talk about it, though that might be because it's not that good either.
Don't know if there's anyone from the south west of uk in here but just a heads up the arkade on the minehead seafront has recently got a bunch of machines in all restored to excellent status. Addams senpai, dr who, flash gordon, frankenstein, apollo 13, valiant,BoP and jackbot with 4 more on the way. Definitely worth checking out.
>>2799385
>Addams senpai
>>2797349
It's been getting a lot more recognition lately judging from the drastic price hike like a year or two ago but for an incredibly long time it felt like it was damn near impossible to find someone else who played this game.
Other had Blackthorne, I had this.

test family
>>2799639
That any good? Never even heard of it before and always love trying out new Genesis games.
>>2797379
Had a friend who showed me this game about 7 years ago, I found it oddly charming. I never rented it as a kid, but I'm glad to know it exists.
I played this when emulated anything I could find in high school. I guess someone else must have played it seeing that it had designs by Matsumune Shirow. Though it's a pretty bland metroid rip off outside that.
That's easy, I just have to pick something that wasn't released in Merica and there you go.
>>2797349
i did play this on ps2 when ps2 was the new thing
bike was basically the entirety of the game for me, i couldnt pass anything else..
>>2797353
>Enchantia
dunno
>Socket
love this little shitstain
>Japanese title for psx game here
idk
>Floating runner
saw it in a magazine, friend of mine had it never played it.
>SOS
saw a thread about this
>Zolo?
saw a article on this
>Bermuda
nope
>Congo
I've seen this game for 2$, and I avoided it, is it any good?
>Japanese name here
nope
>>2799164
I'll never forget that glitch at the end of the highway.
>>2799887
>Though it's a pretty bland metroid rip off outside that
Which doesn't have to be bad, but from what I can tell from having watched youtube videos of it, it's not that great.
Knew absolutely no one who played this.
Slave Zero, one of my first PC games
>>2799604
Fucking great game once you get the hang of it.
>>2801162
Fuck I love old box arts like these.
>>2801162
He looks like a cross between Sylvester Stallone and the Toxic Avenger.
Lordz of tha muthaphukkin realm nigga
>>2802190
Toxic Stallone could make for a great early 90s wrestler name.
One of my first games. Wish I hadn't sold it, to be honest.
>>2801193
Curse of Enchantia is a point and click adventure game for Amiga and PC.
The japanese ps1 game is Fuun Gokuu Ninden, a cute platformer game based on Journey to the West.
>Zolo?
lol, it's 2010, the game based on the movie sequel to 2001 A Space odyssey, for the Coleco Vision. it's a weird game where you need to repair electronic boards, it's kinda like a puzzle game.
Bermuda Syndrome is a "cinematic platformer" kind of like Flashback.
Congo is an FPS, it's probably not too bad for $2.
last game is Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 3, pretty awesome platformer/action game for Famicom. Also known in the west as Kid Nikki, but the 3rd game was never localized, and it was the best in the series.
>>2803094
I actually played this shit when I was a kid too and since I live in America it looked like some bargain bin game. Didn't learn like over a decade later he had comics that were popular in Europe.
The game sucked from what I recall. I remember guessing a password once.
>>2799183
>12 MEGS OF POWER
I giggled
>>2799330
I played this game but I stopped at that fire level that I think is set in China (?)
Finding someone to talk about this game though is a challenge because it also wasn't very good.
>>2803002
I'll check em out, thanks for telling me what the rest are anon. appreciate it.
Also went back to the store and got the congo for 1$, haggled with him a little bit.
I always wondered why this game was priced low at Sears and when my mom bought it for me, I found out why.
>>2803258
Had the GBC version of this, didn't even know it was for the PS1. Is it any good? GBC one was okay by GBC standards.
>>2803574
There is no GBC version of it. Just another game based on Lucky Luke. If you had the GB game, you were lucky. Good game, fantastic soundtrack.

The GBC sequel, Desperado Train, was still decent, but soundtrack wasn't as good. The PC game Western Fever is cool, a gallery shooter and the SNES game was also nice. A slow run'n'gun.

pic related was one of the better 3D platformers. Shame nobody knows about it.
>>2799183
I rented this once. Once I popped it up and started playing it I got a horrible "renter's" remorse, but couldn't return it so I manned up and ended up playing it for the weekend anyways. It was okay if you watched the anime, but as a fighting game it was pretty sluggish and had a weird thing where the jumping was done with a button instead of just pressing up.
>>2797349
Demon's Forge, Apple II
Orion Conspiracy
This. One of my favorite games to this day.
>>2807062
If I'm not mistaken, don't you start the game naked in this? A friend and I rented it when we were younger and could only remember it by that striking fact. Or, if this isn't that game, I don't know what the hell was going on.
>>2802141
Buddy had the Dreamcast version, I never got very far but I probably just suck.
>>2807762
Looks comfy. What is it?
>full 3d open world exploration with land, sea, and air vehicles, plus interior areas, mission system, and item inventory
>ten years before GTA3
>>2807782
That art is amazing
>>2797349
lol, I finished this game, probably the last one I ever played on the DC. It was pretty decent IMO, but came out when the DC was in hospice
Lovely gem of a game.
>>2797349
played for days
