come on man.
Also, this thread is a scanning guide/anything /vr/-related thread. People discuss, post pics, etc of their guides, and help each other with scanning tips.
If you don't like it, for whatever paperphobic reason, you can hide the thread.
I have literally hundreds of old game guides. Thinking of starting a site to catalog and show pictures of them for people to look at.
Plenty of weird stuff for the connoisseurs out there.
You should check tumblr. That sounds like something someone there would have done. If not, go for it and I might recommend USING tumblr.
It just seems like the exact right place for something like that.
It's a pretty short guide book, honestly. Not a whole lot of risky photos.
This, on the other hand..
I looked around a little and didn't see anything real comprehensive.
What would be the best site to do this on? I have basically no experience with html, but I feel like just using tumblr or something would be the lesser way to go.
Well, I used to get paid to make actual web apps. I don't have a lot of free time nowadays but I'm sure I can whip up something basic enough if you want to send me some scans and information.
Otherwise I'm sure there has to be some free open source code for showing off artbooks/pdfs in a convenient way.
original scanbro here
I'm sorry for missing two deadlines and not keeping up with the updates as sporadically as I initially promised. I've bumped into a very unforeseen situation in real life.
Rest assured, progress still happens, but it's slow. Ugh.
Yoshi is cute, not a sex object you sickos!
I really love how smug baby yoshies from SMW look
Now I know there is that one guy on /vr/ who's into this one
Unfortunately this strategy guide is black and white, but here's the back cover. X-Men vs Street Fighter on PSX.
Thanks, I'm guessing there's no proper scans of those.
I would if I had a decent camera and setup. I won't destroy the binding to use a scanner.
OP here. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm actually making this thread because scanbro sacrificed his own book and worked hard scanning the pages, and then doing post-scan work editing each page. I'm just letting him know that we appreciate his work and are waiting for the results.
I own the book, anyway.
That's one of the reasons. Another reason is because this thread is a thread for any kind of /vr/-related book and also to share scanning tips if anyone needs.
That said, if you find this thread annoying, for whatever reason, just hide it, man. It's simple.
Very evil, anon. Very evil.
You forgot the part that Scanbro already scanned the book himself and is working on post-scan work: >>2750126
If you haven't been keeping up with these threads and don't know what it's about, don't shitpost, man.
Again, if for some inane reason this thread bothers you: hide thread, problem solved.
But where did I say that I *need* the scans? Huh?
>You're the only one insisting he deliver
You sure? I'm not the same OP from earlier threads, and I'm pretty sure I'm not all the people that replied to Scanbro's post ITT.
>Maybe I'm him and I'm telling you this for fact. What do you know?
Even if you're him, this thread is about guide books and scanning in general. The only reason we still remember scanbro is because he was the OP of the first Scanning woes thread.
I'm still puzzled as to why there's people who are annoyed by this thread at all. Eh, free bump at least.
yeah... because people sure are contributing here... and this only like the 5th thread begging scanbro to deliver. the shit got old a couple months ago. that's why it's annoying. he'll be back if he feels like it. we don't need a panhandling thread.
>yeah... because people sure are contributing here
You mean this guy?
Yeah, too bad he can't scan them but hey, nobody is forcing him, and he's posted some cool shit I haven't seen before, so yeah, this thread is pretty decent.
Go back to your console war threads or something, guy. Shush.
Continue to be mad, my friend.
oh the irony
Well, thanks for kudos. I wanna scan my books (or rather photograph them) so everyone can enjoy them. I'm just short on cash for a good camera right now. Soon I hope.
No problem man, you've got really interesting books, keep 'em coming.
Mind if I ask where did you get so many of them?
Ebay actually. Had to negotiate a lot of 'em down but the sellers usually just take my best offers now since I bought so much.
I also have weird shit like vn art books.
Well at first I wanted to just scan some of my "better" games, but then I quickly realized that I'm missing shit for nearly all of them (regcard, spinecard, etc), or some are not that good quality for scanning.
So at this point I should be really kicking it up a notch and just all the junk titles I bought for dumping; there are a bunch of obscure titles there that absolutely nobody gives a damn about, so they won't ever get scanned if I won't do it. Then again no one would ever want scans of "Chisato Moritaka Watarasebashi Lala Sunshine".
Yo, I don't know if you're the same guy from before, but by chance do you have a Soul Hackers guide? I remember someone posted one.
Yes! would you mind posting some pics from the pages inside?
Is it worth buying?
does it have more lewd images like that on the cover?
Mm, I don't remember there being much lewd in it. I haven't browsed it since I originally took these photos.
It's a map from the SMW official guide book published by APE.
Guess some people are. I'm doubtful he'll ever finish anything.
