I dont really understand that logic as PvP has many botters itself. There is less punishment to die in PvP than no-pvp now thanks to twist of fate. If you enjoy PvE content you are better off on no-pvp as PvP is butchered to hell and back in its current state. Bots are prevalent in pre-level 120 zones, above that its mostly manual players, so the difference is very negligible anymore.

well yeah no-pvp is strictly PvE content minus consented wars (which dont happen like at all anymore). The biggest frustration to overcome is that basically any profitable pre-100 area tends to have bots. Its getting past that awful struggle that really makes the game decent. They did make it so premium pre-level 50's get a big bonus exp (on top of stamina bonus) so boosting to 50 is easy.

There is a guild here named "Wanted" that is literally 50 level 300-600 players (Also Kharsek the level 907) that have bot and bought all of their characters. They lure on every service. Don't allow anyone to hunt Prison/Oramond DT's. It's insane, but we manage.

But my friend is a level 435 ED and we hunt late night when they aren't on. Make tons of experience and cash so it's all good to us. Interesting you are a rare trader, I never had the funds or patience to get into that. I just like to team hunt, only reason I still play Tibia. I have tons of money on Guild Wars 1 but no way to transfer it to gold in Tibia, especially on Calmera. Help me out haha

Not too much. The low level content (or, well, everything below 80) is lacking in non-combat activities to do. You can do some daily tasks at the Outlaw camp for an extremely slim chance at a high priced taming item. No other daily tasks are worth doing because the rewards are too poor for the time it takes to do them (venore daily, goblin merchant, hellgate repenters).

How long would it take a new player to get to 100? Say its a Knight and factor in training, and then factor out training.

having a premium account and using only offline training of, say, sword:
60 sword skill - 5 days
70 sword skill - 2 weeks
80 sword skill - 1 month

for leveling:
a month maybe if you go to recommended places, give or take a few weeks? considering 2 daily hours with stamina exp bonus

maybe two or three months if you are completely new to the game and need to learn everything useful about it and take things slow

before offline training I trained a knight in slimes at lvl 20 5 hours a day until skill 87/87 and it took around two months (got 80/80 in around 1 month), even if you are just afk most of the time it's just way too much trouble if you can afford premium time

with skill 80 you can do just fine in most low level leveling places

suppose you had 100 shielding skill instead of 80, you would just like save 20% money in potions and maybe one or two deaths until lvl 100, it's too small of a difference to worry about it

How? Have things changed? Last time I have tried to jew the market (around 1-2 years ago) there was strong competition and it was rather hard to make big profit, it required a lot of work (hauling to djinn or some other npc) and I was unable to make more than 20k a day

I was just skimming through the thread and it sounded as though the NA server is relatively dead. Should I hop on Fidera anyways since I'll have a better connection or should I join the more populated European server as the expense of a better connection?

Also, I tried to look up a bit of info on Fidera to see if I could find how many active players were online and I saw something about the main language of that server being Portuguese. Is it infested with BRs or was that just a joke?

So I was reading through the FAQ in the OP and at one point it mentioned being able to leave at level 8 and advising you do so or you'll be gimped. Another section (and apparently a different tutorial island) mentioned the ability to reach level 20 on that island and didn't say anything about being gimped.

Used to be back on Rookgaard you needed to change at level 8 since you were vocationless. Now on the new tutorial island you are given your vocation while there, thus you can level as much as you want since you wont miss out on the extra HP/SP. Though you'll only reasonably get to 15-20 there.

What's the significance of only soloing? I assume you miss out on being able to kill things that require groups, but what else? How often do you find groups anyways? I'm not familiar with the game but even still it seems as though only having ~300 players at a time on a server means you might not be grouping all that often anyways. Paladin was fantastic in 'old' Tibia. Soloing was the best way back then. He had cheap dmg, selfsustain and what not.
Nowaday it's all about AoE and exp sharing. Paladin lacks AoE damage. Sure, if you are playing with friends, they won't mind you being pala they might bully you sometimes though, but knight would've been more welcome than paladin in party.
That said, to the person who was asking. make both and if you plan on getting PACC make druid/sorc as well. Put everyone on offline training.
If you are fan of kiting, you will find paladin better than knight.

I think people start grouping at around 80-100.

Well, to try them, but more importantly as PACC you get 'offline training' function. Even if you wont play them, but just relog they will eventually gain skills.
Outside of levels, there are also skills: fist, sword, club, axe, distance, magic, that affect your dmg and success rate. You want them at some decent level to not get frustrated all the time. Of course you cantrain them while online (it's even faster), but if you arent sure what to play I reccomend just leaving them overnight and then try them out.

I'd still give it try. I'd even say up to lv50 it will be enjoyable, but then it will start getting worse and worse pretty fast. You will be cut out from most of content, far better hunt spots and some spells, that will be pretty much mandatory.
If you are dedicated/autistic enough, you will eventuablly be able to fight with bots over GS spawns on POH and with 'just' like 200 rare drops you will be able to afford premium time for ingame gold.

I've never seen or heard of this game before, but I like the way it looks.
I'm curious - did any of you play the Nexon game Dark Ages in the late 90s and early 2000s? It has a somewhat similar look to it. The US version transferred to KRU and it pretty much went to shit, but I played the korean one and it's still packed amazingly enough.

hunt ancient scarabs, they are very easy for a mage this level and you will always get profit or at least break even if very shitty drop (you will have to loot coins though), during longer hunts i suggest making lootbags with plate armors
