Its about whats attractive. New Pokemon in a big number (so at least 70-90) would only make sense in a brand new region. Not in Sinnoh or Kanto which have their own stories/styles and ride mainly on nostalgia.

Few extra UBs (which are basically this gens megas when it comes to their place in lore) in USUM doesnt mean much
