It looks like KBM was just mapping stuff without any plan at all. This region is such a fuckin' mess.

And the best part is the Naljo-Rijon border. Naljo is supposedly west of Rijon (like Johto is to Kanto) but when you transcend the border in the game (through the tunnel), you end up in the far east of Rijon. What the hell? KBM doesn't know how geography works?

So, I posted a thread on the Skeetendo help forum, but no one seems to know what the problem is. I figured I'd post here and see if anyone has any idea. I'm just going to copy-paste from my other post.

"I've managed to add the running shoes to my pokecrystal disassembly, and I've given them their own sprites. They work pretty much flawlessly during normal gameplay, but whenever I initiate an event where control is taken away from the player, the sprites from the running animation stay active. I want them to revert back to the normal player sprites.
I figured the best way to do this is to set the PlayerState to "PLAYER_NORMAL" and then run call "ReplaceKrisSprite" whenever control is taken from the player. Only problem is that I can't find the part of code that controls this.
Could someone point me in the direction of where to look? Is there another way to achieve the same thing? Help would be very much appreciated."

You initially get to Rijon via a teleporter. If you actually go through the tunnel you wind up in Heyward, in the west of Rijon.

Don't get me wrong, Prism's maps have problems, but that's not one of them.

The most I've ever seen completes was a custom sprite hack involving replacing the RAM data for a sent Pokémon via Action Replay.
The PokéWalker actually gets its sprites from the DS, so if you can replace data on the DS, you can replace it on the PokéWalker.
Likewise, this means new routes are possible, because you could theoretically write an AR code that modifies an existing route on the DS and send it over.

Alright, thanks for the info! I figured the sprites were most likely stored on the DS due to size for all of them, and I'll be sure to post whatever results I get whenever I get the time to do this.
